I’m just saying that I do not think paid internships for one summer (or part of one summer) will prevent one from doing well in these types of fellowships. If the school has a problem nominating a student who has done this-- well, that’s their issue, and that might be where the problem is-- but I do not believe an IB paid summer internship would be a drawback (all other things being equal) to a prestigious fellowship committee.</p>
