I’m involved in an IB program that’s implemented by adjusting times for classes and adding an extra class in the mornings. Because I have no free periods and my classes start 20 minutes earlier than everyone else’s, I’ve been unable to re-join student council (because I am unable to make it to meetings), unable to join NHS (same reason), and unable to join pretty much any other school club. I also cannot join clubs that meet during lunch because my IB Music class is a 7th class for me that unfortunately has to be during lunch to make time for everything else.
I am the CMO of a local education company and the co-founder of my own company, but these aren’t leadership positions of clubs that are active IN school. So does UPenn care about where my leadership was demonstrated? Does it matter that I don’t really have a lot of school involvement? How would I communicate that I was unable to involve myself in school more?
