I get frustrated that what I’m studying isn’t valuable beyond the SAT.
The SAT isn’t meant to teach skills.
Reading comprehension is a real skill.
It is meant to test skills not teach skills.
hmmm I think the SAT does teach valuable skills just not the ones people generally assume. It taught me for example how to manage my time, how to memorize faster, how to thoroughly understand a passage, and how to write faster lol
The SAT is a test. It’s designed to determine college admissions. It’s intended to access skills, not teach them.
It’s entirely OK to take the test without any prep at all.
If you choose to spend hours and hours of prep, that’s up to you.
In another post you say you are a parent. In this post you say you are studying for the SAT exam. Are you a student or a parent?
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Closing thread. In another thread, OP states:
Per Terms of Service:

So either 2 people are sharing an account, or one person is misrepresenting him/herself; neither is allowed.
Oh, and to answer the question, the College Board never claims that the SAT is designed to teach anything, let alone “real skills.”
