As a teenager, I’m very afraid to die young. I just heard people dying in Texas and Oklahoma flooding. I don’t want to be one of the unfortunate ones. So does it flood at the university in particular and the city in general?
If California got that much rain to cause a flood, the residents would be jumping for joy since we are in a drought. Never heard of a flood in SLO, but there is always the potential for an Earthquake.
Worry about staying out of cars where the driver has been drinking and you’ll be far safer in college than you would be worrying about flooding anywhere, including Texas right now.
San Luis Obispo, CA (where Cal Poly is located) has creeks downtown which cause periodic, minor flooding. The Cal Poly SLO campus is located on higher ground and does not flood.
You are more than 300 times more likely to die in a car accident than in a flood.

Life is too short and precious to waste it agonizing what you’re going to die from
@Redishwoods: thank you, you’re the only person who understood what i really wanted to know.
i was trying to phrase the question in a funny way (it’s called black humor i think) but i guess no one found it funny. the point of the question wasn’t about me worrying about dying but more about whether there are floods there since i’m not familiar with them. there are no floods where i live, like ever, so i want to be prepared
Fortunately you’re not going to Poly to study comedy!
Now THAT’S funny.
