Does MIT have Latin?

My friend is really pushing for me to apply to MIT when it's time to go to college. But I can't seem to find their Classics department. Does it not exist?

As much as I'd be sorry to not go to college with her, and as great as I'd likely find MIT's math department, I can't give up Latin.

MIT doesn't have a Classics department, and doesn't offer Latin. You can cross-register in Latin courses at Harvard and Wellesley, though.

Ok, thank you

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yes. But it's reasonable to expect that a tech school will have some classes that aren't within the realm of science and technology, in the interest of producing well-rounded students - and MIT does offer anthropology, history, philosophy, literature, music, theater, foreign languages. It doesn't sound like the OP is asking about majoring in Classics at MIT, just taking a few Latin courses. So the question was reasonable.
