Does my leadership application statement sound too boring?

Hi! I am going to run for a leadership position for a medical-related club in my school. This is my first time applying to be a leader of a club and I am really nervous! The instructions were to write a 3-5 sentences statement of what I want to say to my club members. In my opinion, it is too long but there are people who have long, so I am not sure if I should cut it down or not.

“Leaders of Medicine is not a club to take for granted as chances to meet doctors who are willing to give genuine advice are rare and extremely helpful for those seeking to explore the depths of the medical field. Making this club more widespread is a critical goal of mine since the voices of these professionals could inspire many students to pursue a career in medicine and open their eyes to the new possibilities of what their future may be like. I am able to help achieve this by implementing practical skills that I have acquired in journalism that are essential for being a leader: interpersonal communications, management, and organization skills. If I am fortunate enough to become part of the leadership board, I will work hard to increase attendance through media and direct advertising, organize the club’s activities to maximize the number of opportunities given to students, and overall improve communications between the leaders, sponsor, and members.”

I am not sure what they are looking for because there are no further instructions and I am scared my peers will think it is boring and not vote for me.

If I read this, this is what I get out of it.
It is rare to find doctors who will speak to us.
I will try to get more people involved in the club.
I will do this by using my journalism skill: talking to people, management and organization.
I will increase attendance, try to have more activites, and improve communications.

Do the members of the club think that the number of student attending is an issue?
If you have enough members to go on, would they care if there were more? You might care, but do the people voting?

More activities: What type of activities? Will you use your skills to try to get more doctors to talk to you all?

Improve communications; What is the issue with communications?

Are there management or organizational issues?

How about talking about how you find the club inspiring, and you want to be a leader in it in order to do your part to make sure it’s members have similar excellent opportunities in the future?

Don’t worry too much about it! It seems like a great length and if the people in the club are actually interested in the club and its future, they will definitely listen to you.
