Does Northwestern consider rigor important?

I would be so ****ed if my friend, who goes to an easy private school, has barely any homework, has Honors classes but again, they give away As will get into NU over me who often doesn't sleep until 4AM/at all because of my hard classes in my selective school.

):

They look at everything, rigor, rank and GPA and standerized test scores. Your friend has to do well compared to everyone else. They also look at the possible classes you could have taken, coasting on the easy classes would not look good.

They also know most schools and each schools level of difficulty, grade inflation, etc.

All of the “most competitive” schools put great weight on rigor of the applicant’s curriculum. NU is no exception.
