^I also got in with no SAT Subject test scores (though I did have five 5’s on AP exams), so I don’t think those are a bid deal ND.

^ Just for clarification, IDK if you were talking about my post about the SAT II’s, but I was talking about how Georgetown wants 3 SAT 2s, not ND.

^I was responding to truzzi.

This comes as a great surprise to me and I really hope that the admissions committee did not make some terrible mistake when it comes to this applicant.

Any idea what the top feeder schools are? Just curious. 190 in my graduating class and 12 in so far, 8 deferred from EA.

welcome to college admissions.

Perhaps you represent a culture or ethnicity they value on their campus - i.e. you are Aboriginal and they only have one other Aboriginal on the whole campus.

-Perhaps your intended major is in a Department (e.g. Linguistics) that is under funding stress because their ave. # of degrees awarded yearly has shrunk from 15 to 11 in the past two years. This last reason is especially relevant to LACs and smaller Universities like ND.

There could be a dozen reasons why they prize you/your skills/your major more than your Perfect Val.

Or, they could have simply switched your two names onto each other’s file hehehe JK

Seriously though, if your Val prefers ND to GT, I’d suggest he ask his college counselor (assuming you go to a private school whose counselors actually pick up the phone) ring ND and make sure his application was complete.
