Does one's high school affect chances of getting into a certain college?

Obviously, the kids at Andover/Exeter have an advantage....
If you're from some random high school that rarely sends kid to the ivies, is this bad?

It’s mostly about the opportunity your school offers and also what you do in your time.

You’ll be considered in context of the opportunities available to you.

Example: if your school doesn’t offer AP’s, you won’t be penalized for that.

If your school does and you didn’t take a single one (or only a few), it won’t look good for you.

Good luck!
