Does Parchment work? Also, can you chance me yourselves?

HELLO. This is an updated repost of my original post. I am applying to 16 schools, and I am wondering what my chances would be. If anybody can give a chance for any of these schools (preferably all, but I don't expect everybody on here to want to do that :P)

The colleges and universities I am applying to are:
REACH SCHOOLS
University of Chicago
Harvard College
Stanford University
Columbia University
Washington University in St. Louis
Rice University (applied ED, denied)

SCHOOLS I CAN EXPECT TO GET IN IN TERMS OF SAT AND GPA
University of California at Los Angeles
University of California at Berkeley (maybe reach?)
University of Washington
University of Southern California
Ohio State University

BACKUP SCHOOLS
University of Colorado at Denver
University of California at San Diego
University of Portland

BACKUP-BACKUP SCHOOLS
University of California at Merced
University of Denver
University of Cincinnati

[Parchment.com's chance simulation ran and estimated that 10 out of the 16 schools would accept me, and that there would be a 100 percent chance of getting accepted into something. Can you guys predict which of the 10 I could get into?]

Here are my stats:
*Highest SAT is 1820 (taken twice; highest combination of scores possible is 1870)
*ACT of 25 (34 on English and 27 on Math)
*Unweighted GPA is ~3.84
*Weighted (cumulative) GPA is ~4.56
*The only EC's I have include participation in the National Society of Leadership and Success (3 years), 8 hours of community service for Habitat for Humanity, and 6- or 7-year participation in the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP).
*I am a 16-year-old Asian-American male junior in high school at an early college (basically a college in the high school-type school). The program is supposed to take 5 years, but I will finish in 3 due to the extra classes I have taken to get out early. I will be 16 when I graduate in May, and will also be the first person from my school to do so (I didn't include that on the application, idk why). Also, by the time I graduate, I will already have an AA degree (I was told to apply as a freshman but that I would go into college as a junior. Idk what happened there).

I can’t vouch for Parchment, but you seriously need to reassess your match schools.

What do you mean?

Your scores are too low for most of those schools.

I am only familiar with the UC system. The only UC listed you would have a good chance with you low test scores would be UC Merced. Although your GPA is very good, your test scores do not make sense. For UC Berkley, UCLA and UC San Diego you would probably need an SAT of 2000+. Since you have taken college courses it would seem you would be a transfer since you are getting an AA degree and not a first time freshman. I would talk to your Guidance Counselor to make sure this is correct.

I WOULD be a first-time freshman, as I “have not taken any college classes following my high school graduation,” referencing UW’s freshman requirement. How do my SAT scores not make sense?

Your test scores are really low for most of your Match and reach schools. Like Gumbymom said, you’d 2000/30+ for most of them.

Do you think I could get into UW?

It’s definitely possible and more realistic than UCB or UCLA. It’s hard to tell because your high school is so unique. Either way, you have a bunch of safeties to choose from if UW doesn’t work out. Best of luck.

Yeah, UW looks like the only Match of the Match section.

Alright, thanks, guys. I really only believe the best schools I have a good shot at are UW and UCM. Good luck to you guys, if either of you need it. :D

Uh I don’t see how you can expect to get into UCB or UCLA with those scores/gpa

sorry.

Yeah I think you have a great shot at those two (UW and UCM). Best of luck to you!

USC, Berkley, UCLA are reaches. Ohio State you are fine, UW you are fine.

Don’t mean to pile it on, but even ucsd is not exactly a safety for your sat score level. As mentioned above, an sat of 2000 or above is needed for the best Uc’s. As for the other ones, Ohio state is a match, UW is a match, Colorado is a match. Good luck to you!
