does scholarship carry over

I've been accepted to Case with the Trustee Scholarship (or whatever it is) worth 20,500 dollars per year. Now, if I get into their 8 year medical program, does that scholarship carry over into those 4 med school years? this is very important as the money issue will be a big factor in my decision.

I have the trustees scholarship. It covers 8 semesters of work (typical of scholarships anywhere). If you have a lot of AP credit etc. you shave off semesters that way. I received 33 AP credits so had sophomore status almost at the beginning. I plan to do the BS/MS in four years total so I'll be covered with the scholarship.

psatmadness, I think the OP wants to know if the trustee's scholarship (which is $25,700. How could you forget that? LOL. ) continues for 8 years. The answer is no. It does not extend to med school.

My D also received the Trustee's . Although she may have been qualified to apply to the combined degree program at Case (PPSP) and elsewhere she knew that she didn't have the money to pay for a high- priced med school without scholarships , didn't want to be locked in (or even feel locked in ) to a med school she couldn't afford, and didn't want to borrow it. She did apply to the combined degree program at Texas Tech (in-state only, 10 a year) as it is a highly affordable option. Other than that she will go to Case (or elsewhere) at the price of Texas A+M, and return to the mother ship (Texas) for state subsidized med school.

Good luck to you. Case is a wonderful school and the Trustee's is an exceptionally generous opportunity.

The scholarships last 4 years or until graduation from the undergraduate college (whichever one comes first). It won't cover medical school.

Case did tell me it would cover the MS part of the BS/MS if it could be done within the 8 semesters. They said it didn't matter if it was undergrad or grad courses.

this is true.
