So I got in Ucla as bus econ, but my main school is usc bus admin. The reason I like USC is because I know people right their, and I would dump ucla for USC if they accept me.
So which school is a better fit for me?

usc bus admin or ucla bus econ?

if you want bus admin then go for usc.
bus econ is an econ class with accounting courses. it is not business admin which teaches you business strategy.
but the ultimate choice will be HAAS school of business :)

so sad my decision will be based on the financial aid package.

but to be honest, undergraduate major is not that important as you think. only the school brand matters

Go to a school that you will see yourself being happy. And from your post, it seems like you’re favoring USC over UCLA. Both of the Universities will provide you a well-rounded education, so you can’t really go wrong with either one.
To answer your primary question, I really do feel that school matters when it comes to finding a job. But you need to know that going to USC or UCLA will give you better opportunities such as internships and such over other schools. So finding a job shouldn’t be hard since there are more recruitments at USC and UCLA. It also depends on how well you do at the University too. So just pick the school that you like most.

Will open a new thread later (if i get accepted by Cal), but how about Cal Econ vs UCLA Bus Econ?

It is hard to make a decision since going to UCLA would save me around 10k +, but it just that I feel a little bit friendlier at USC than UCLA. It always be this hard to make any decision.

Wassup Ferrari4XD. I guess this time i’ll put in my 2cents.

First if you’re planning to go to graduate school, your undergrad school doesn’t matter to your employer at all, unless your employer is a alumni.

Second, considering its UCLA vs. USC there is really no point in comparing them in prestige. Both are great schools to everyone’s eyes (who are not affiliated with the schools)

The thing to consider is what kind of education do YOU want. Do you want to go through rigorous business program that teaches you the practicality of running/doing business (USC), or do you want to go through a enlightening economics program that teaches you theories, and methods of how the market works, then using it in your advantage, plus acct (UCLA).

Ferrari, what is your career goal. To work bankning, consulting, tech startup maybe?

Sent from my HTC Glacier using CC

any job that pay well would be cool lol, prefer banking.
