Does taking AP classes cost money?

I go to FLVS (Florida Virtual School) I was wondering since I do my classes online anyway, if it would cost any money?

On the very bottom of this page, it says that it would cost about 4,000 dollars for a course! I know that can't be right because I know of people taking 5 AP's, so would that mean they would have to have paid over 20,000 dollars for college credit?

If anyone could help me out, that would be great!

(Also, I posted this in the UF section because I'm new to CC and UF is where I REALLY want to go to college - I'm a Sophomore)

You’ll have to check with your school. Those numbers are DEFINITELY not correct.

I’ve never heard of a school charging extra to take AP classes. In some states, you have to pay for each AP test (about $80 a piece), but if you go to a public school in Florida, they are free (but you HAVE TO take them…if you don’t, you’ll have to pay your school back for them).
