Does the Columbia High School Summer Program mean anything?

<p>I participated in the Columbia HSSP and I was wondering if it held any weight with applications? Does it perhaps show interest? I've been given varying responses. </p>

<p>Like any extracurricular activity, participation in this program can help you to present yourself as an interesting candidate. Additionally, the instructor-written evaluations that you receive upon completion of the program can potentially be used as college recommendations.

<p>Bottom line, it’s better than laying at the beach all summer, but it will not get you a leg up.</p>

<p>It’s a money maker for Columbia so they are purposely a little vague if it has any direct impact.</p>
