<p>There is nothing that is in the Constitution that protects the right to have an abortion. However, the standing decision of Roe vs. Wade does. Many people believe that Roe v. Wade was a case about abortion, but in fact it was more an issue of privacy. The supreme court came to the conclusion that a woman has a right to privacy, that includes her body and in turn unborn children. </p>
<p>As far as abortions go, it is pretty much a decision that is made by states. If you look at the laws they have now, it differs from state to state. The standard is that abortions are allowed in the first trimester, regulated in the second, and banned in the third. </p>
