Does the school really matter?

I'm well aware of what managerial accounting is--I just had no idea what you were talking about.

"So in a since you will be a “management” accountant. Chances are that if this is the case, then you will not be given the title 'management accountant.'"

Your title is "manager." (Associate--->Senior Associate--->Manager--->Partner)

ryanbks: Super dectective work! Your eye for detail tells me that you would make a great accountant!

I don't really know why the sarcasm is necessary, but it's not appreciated.

Ryanbis: I am truly sorry for any discomfort that I have cause you. Is there anything that I can do to make you feel better?

Thanks JERK, that position does seem like it would take time to reach. I will need to consider my major when I get to UMD. I would like to intern at a company which is similar to the one I just did. I want a taste of as much as possible and maybe then I'll find exactly what I like. It just seems it is impossible to learn to do management positions. These positions seem to have to be earned, as the should be, by working your way up a company. I need something that I can use as a job with lots of room to advance but something that I would still like regardless if I don't ever get the chance. I wouldn't mind accounting. I see it as a job but less as a passion just yet. I have been told to take on tax law so for now I guess accounting and management is fine. I still have time to change my major.
