Does this count as critical/analytical essay?

I would like to send in a paper in which I analyzed the misuse of the exclamation point (and hwo this basically killed the exclamation point), and in which i then showed how this relates to language as a whole.
I've written 7 papers so far this year for AP lit, but that is the closest to analytical...they ahve all been personal/creative.

the only traditional analytical paper i have is the one i wrote last year on the great gatsby, which paper is good but not great.

but the exclamation point paper kicks ahs. just wondering if it would fly w/ admissionaries.

insights? Thanks.

yeah, I have no idea what the hell they want. That sounds good to me, but who knows? What about a DBQ or FRQ from AP USH if it's very eloquent and you shine through on it? I'm so confused. If Middlebury wasn't the perfect school for me, I'd not even bother-their supplements and demands are really annoying.

I'd go for it. If it's really good and you manage to impress them, I doubt they'll object. Better a unique, memorable essay that doesn't perfectly fit the description than an average one that does.
