I didn’t get an email (I checked my spam as well, and I have nothing), I did not set up a portal (oops) and did not get a likely letter. I called the admissions office today and they seemed very nonchalant about it… All they said was after I told them the lack of an email “The information is publicized on the Columbia site, so you don’t need the email anyways.” which doesn’t answer much at all… but oh wells…
@AranJay probably has to do with you not having a portal set up at the time of the email. Who knows - no difference whatsoever.
