Does this not fulfill any requirements?

If I'm an econ major and I want to take a 2 credit class marked "S" in the psychology department, does it not fulfill any requirements? I'll still take it because it looks really interesting, but I just wanted to know if I'm right about this. Thanks.

As an econ major, you probably have a set amount of requirements that you need to take for all types of classes (N, S, W, H, Q). If the class is marked “S”, it means that it counts as a social sciences class and its credits will count towards your social sciences credit requirement.
