Does this seem like a rigorous or impressive resume to you

Hello everyone, I just finished my freshman year of high school and I started thinking about courses and my extracurriculars. I was wondering if this sounded impressive enough for colleges. Since I’m only a freshman I can only write about this year and next year’s schedule. Thanks!!

9th Grade
• Biology H (A+)
•Religion 9H (A+)
•Geometry H (B+)
•World History 9H (A+)
•Spanish 3H (A+ and received an award for best student in the studies of Spanish)
•English 9H (A+)
•General Chorus (A)/Gym (A+)
I also took an Sat Subject Test in Biology E and am pending my results.

Next Year Courses (10th Grade)
•Chemistry H
•Religion 10H
•Algebra 2/Trig Regents (I am not very good at math and so I think this would better for me)
•Intro to Psychology (pre requisite so that I can take AP Psych as a junior)
•Criminal Justice
•World History 10H
•English 10H
•Select Chorus/Gym
I also plan to self study AP Spanish (my school only offers college Spanish but the teacher is awful) and AP World History (my school also doesn’t offer this but I love history)
I’ll also end up taking 2-3 Sat Subject Tests: Math 1, World History (since I’m already taking all this world history stuff might as well do it), Spanish (again same thing as world history), and possibly Chemistry if I enjoy it and score well next year and PSAT

Extracurriculars: Varsity Cross Country, Mock Trial, Spring Track & Field, Newspaper, Model UN, Spanish Club, and Student Government (Secretary)

Junior Year I’m planning on taking 4 AP Classes (Psych, English Language, US History, Human Geography (self study) and college pre calc plus Subject Tests and SAT/ACT

Anything else I should do to improve my chances of getting into an Ivy? Thanks!!

It sounds like you’re doing quite well! Yes, you look like you’re on track for getting accepted to a great school. However, make sure that your ECs reflect what you love to do. You have very well-rounded ECs (which isn’t bad!) but colleges really like to see that you have a genuine passion for something.

Maybe you have a genuine passion for being involved in lots of different activities- who am I to say. It’s just something to think about

Thank you for answering!! I’m hoping to major in political science with a minor in Spanish and eventually go to law school or go into politics so that might explain some of the clubs. Sports are more just for fun, and my boyfriend is the newspaper editor so I kinda joined to be with him and some friends (but I do genuinely love it)
