Does U of R superscore the SAT?

As in, do they take the best scores from each section from every SAT I've taken?

Yes, we do. However, this is not true for the ACT. Hope this helps!

Why does U of R not superscore the ACT?

I asked directly through email and was told that you DO superscore the ACT.

"Yes, we do “superscore” the ACT. The official statement from the application website is:
§ * The University of Rochester considers the highest combined SAT/ACT score, even if they are from different test dates. Only your highest scores will be considered in our final admissions decision. Each time you submit scores, we will update your record with any new higher scores.

We encourage you to submit your scores each time you take the SAT. Sending your scores each time helps us to consider you for all available degree programs, special programs, and scholarships.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

I just double checked… turns out I was wrong about the ACT. Sorry! Our application review system automatically computes a superscore for the ACT.

Awesome. Thanks. :)

thanks both of you for answering my question! :)
