Does UCB Look at Individual Sections or Overall Score for SAT?

Like what the title said, does anyone know if UC Berkeley weighs certain SAT sections more heavily than the others? Or do they just care about the overall score you get on your SAT?

I heard conflicting answers about this. I think that the general consensus is that UC schools in general look mainly at your overall score, but I also heard that UCB look at "both individual and overall scores."

I'm just curious, because I know that some other schools, such as Ivy's, weigh the Writing section of the SAT less heavily than math and reading sections. I also heard that higher reading scores are "more valued" than higher math scores from other CC'ers. So does anyone know if there's any certain "weight" given to any of the sections?

It has to do with your major. L&S, CED, and CNR look at your total score, not paying attention to the individual sections. COC and COE focus on your math (and science, if you took the ACT) section and SAT Subject Tests in math and science.
