Does undergrad prestige matter for psychology?

I have a choice between Fordham in NY and Temple University in Philadelphia. Money is not an issue. I was wondering how much undergrad prestige matters for psych because I plan on going to graduate school. Fordham seems like a better school than Temple, but I am not sure by how much. I am concerned about what my school will look like to future job prospects.

Fordham’s average SAT is around a 1340 whereas Temple’s is a 1238.

If your going to grad school I do not think there is a big difference between the 2 , Fordham is the better school but a much different vibe vs Temple. Your future job prospects will be more detrained by grad school and where you live, Temple is much stronger in the Philly to Balt I 95 way, Fordham is bette rain metro NY , outside of those area temple is better well known.

For post-graduation destinations (e.g. graduate programs or employment) closely related to your major, the relevant prestige or reputational aspects are typically those of the major, rather than the school.

For post-graduation destinations not related to your major, the relevant prestige or reputational aspects are typically those of the school.

However, consideration of prestige or reputational aspects varies from none to highly important, depending on the type of post-graduation destination, and the specific graduate program or employer within a type of post-graduation destination.

Ask yourself where you would get ready access to (and support for) undergraduate research opportunities… UG research is the top criterion for admission to PhD programs in PSY.
