Does Varsity Football Improve Chances?

for anyone who says football is not the most demanding sport, you're an idiot...we practice later than any other sport, we come in on the weekends, we watch film, and most importantly, we lift year round and start practice in JUNE

I run cross country and wrestle. Cross country is probably 10x harder than football. Wrestling is probably 1000x harder than football.

I could understand your point about wrestling if only because of struggling to make weight, but to say cross country is harder then your out of your mind. When was the last time you squatted 400 pounds, caught 50 passes, and ran sprints in a period of 2 hours?

I swam and wrestled. Two of the hardest sports there are. The football coach was also the wrestling coach, and there were quite a few football players that wrestled...all of them, unequivocally said wrestling was harder than football. It is the hardest sport in HS. Swimming can be tough...Heck, on Christmas Eve we swam 100 100's. If you don't know what that is. Great. Basically, most swimming pools are 25yards. Well, that's 4 lengths of the pool, 100 times. Stuff like that doesn't compare to wrestling practices.

If you wanna be the best in wrestling it takes more time and dedication than anything. I've spent holidays, homecoming, social events, birthdays, and other "normal" life expieriences wrestling. Last weekend was my homecoming, and you know where I was? Cutting weight for a tournament. And if you think cutting weight is the hardest part of wrestling, you're mistaken.
