Does what civil engineering school I go to matter?

I’m enrolling in the University of Oklahoma. I want to major in civil engineering but OU seems to have low rank on civil engineering (I’ve no idea where they stand in CE but I know that they are top 10 in petroleum engineering).

My point is would study civil engineering at OU limit my chances in getting jobs? Do employers look at what university I go to? And do you know if OU has good civil engineering program?

No, it shouldn’t be a problem. Most recruiters will group it with other “state flagship” programs and many of the companies that hire petroleum/chemical engineers for OU, also need Civil.
