<p>Beyond the fact that a conservatively minded person might stear away from a ultra-liberal LAC because of the political atmosphere on campus, I think that conservatively minded people are bothered by some of the actual practices at such schools such as being able to design your own major (i.e. Gay and Lesbian Studies, etc.). </p>

<p>Some LAC's are very liberal, some are the opposite, and some are in the middle.</p>

<p>thanks for all of the advice. what you say seems reasonable and logical. my concern is that a college adcom is going to look at the activities list and see something that he/she disagrees with vehemently and look at the application with a negative eye.</p>
