UC Davis has four equestrian teams that compete throughout California: Dressage, Hunter-Jumper, and Western compete in IHSA and 3-Day Eventing competes in the WCCEL. All teams practice ON CAMPUS, walking distance from the dorms, at the UC Davis Equestrian Center. The IHSA teams do not require that you own a horse, but if you do you may board it at the UCD EQC. Check out U.C. Davis Equestrian Teams for photos and details!!

I’m very sorry not to add anything to this thread, but I just wanted to say that I had a good long laugh when I saw the number of threads about horses currently on this forum.

You can actually major in equestrian studies where my daughter goes to school…SCAD in Savannah.

They have what appears to be a beautiful equestrian center just over the river in South Carolina where students can board their horses.

I was pretty surprised to hear about such a major…had no clue it existed.

Sweet Briar seems to be a good place for the horse mad, but you have to be female. My niece seems to be enjoying it. They offer a certificate in Equine Studies: [Equine Studies | Sweet Briar College](http://www.sbc.edu/course-overviews/equine-studies)

Alfred – has teams, minor, stable

Can the horse get a degree?

Actually, I have memories – my older sister insisted on taking her horse to college. My mom was thrilled when she found out that boarding a horse at school was cheaper than at home.

Yeah. My plan is to major in business and minor in equestrian studies. I love horses and plan to work with them some day.

The OP is quite busy posting this same text all over CC for some reason.

Only if it has enough ‘horse sense’.

Randolph College now coed and not far from Sweet Briar has a nice horse facility and teams.

Neigh! (sorry, couldn’t resist)

Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo is another school with an Equine Center. My daughter’s roommate from this past year is living and working with the horses on campus this summer and will continue next year. I’m not sure if she plans to bring her horse, but it’s a good possibility.

check out Skidmore–They have a program

Colorado State U also has a nice equestrian center as does USoCal.

And I have to note that it’s a breeze to make a small fortune in the horse business.
Just start with a large one!
