Does anyone know if it's possible for an Undergrad to do research as a History major? I"m doubling in it, and I'd really like to study some events in European History, but I dunno if the field is shut off to only Grad students + . Ideally, I"d like to publish an article, if possible. Any thoughts?

anyone?....

Of course it's possible, but it depends on where you go to college. You have to check with specific schools.

Not only is it possible, it will be expected.

If you can write in an engaging way, you might be able to publish as a freelance writer. However, this will be a very different sort of publishing than a graduate student or professor would do.

I write pretty well, but I'm just wondering, would i have any credibility as just a "small fry" undergrad? Of course, I'm going to talk to my history prof about this next fall, but I was wondering if anyone here had done such a thing.
