Don't know anything about scholarships

Hi, so for full ride scholarships offered by universities, do they tend to pick only a few students for the scholarship or multiple as long as their ACT score and GPA meet the criteria? Thank you.

It varies from school to school so you should look for them on each Uni webpage that You are applying to. Some are first come first served so not all the eligible candidates will receive the scholarship and others require you to write additional essays and give more recs.

Full rides? Full rides are few and far between…and not too many are automatic. They are all based on strong application criteria, however.

Check each school website for up to date information:

When do you graduate from high school? What are your stats (GPA, ACT, PSAT, SAT)? Are you an underrepresented minority? Low socioeconomic status?

School Name?

Full ride scholarships are extremely rare. Full tuition merit scholarships are usually reserved for applicants in the top 2% of admitted students.

Most full rides I have seen are either reserved for NMF s or competitive

@Halleeos

In your previous threads, you mentioned that you were going to ask your parents how much they’d pay each year for college. What did they say?

Are they expecting you to get a “free ride”…or what?
