I grew up in the Northeast and attended a university in the South. If memory serves, an attractive girl with a Southern accent was pretty hard to resist . . . not that I'd want to. :-)

Anyone adore a New Joisy accent?

I hate that accent

Russian accents just sound cool, and, well, Russian people are cool. The language itself is pretty awesome, too, I might even consider studying it in high school.

does anybody really have a new joisy accent? haha

British accents are hot.

Though I don't know why Americans say I have a British accent as I'm Asian.
But my school is one of the best private day schools in Hong Kong.
Which is interesting.

slight xenophobic thread......personally, i adore accents. they're fascinating. and there's nothing sexier in the world than a british one :)

I got told yesterday by a Canadian that I don't have an aussie accent :( makes me sad cause I've lived here almost my entire life save for a semester in 10th grade

I have a spanish accent, which most girls in my school consider sexy
Lucky me

how do you even tell the difference between a british and an aussie accent anyway? oh

and for indian accents --> i'm Indian myself, but then again, I live in the Silicon Valley .. so most of the Indians that live here are really educated. My parents didn't even speak english until college and they don't have their accents anymore so you must be getting the little 7-11 Indians.

I LOVE RUSSIAN ACCENTS, MY VIOLIN TEACHER HAS ONE! That, British, and Italiano. Gotta love Italian <3

Australian accents are WAAAAAY different from British Accents... they are like impossible to imitate though because they are a mix of so many different accents.

I love spanish accents though... make me swoon. And oddly canadian accents are awesome. used to watch Degrassi just to hear them say out and about

i LOVE accents...

Apparently I have a Yankee accent, haha, according to all of my Russian friends ;]

I've been told on a few occasions that I have a British and a Russian accent, though the vast majority of the time nobody ever picks up on it/them, so I suppose I'm relatively accent-less...

I love australian accents! I wish I had retained it..

some accents are sexy and some are annoying.

Love Vietnamese and Russian accents. Most overrated accent is definitely British. Since when was pretentiousness attractive? -_-

Thanks yawn. I'm Vietnamese ^^.
But then I don't know why you would love that accent, not to mention the accent vary greatly between the North and South.

^Kinda dumb to think British accents are pretentious. That's like saying American accents are for idiots. People from LA, Boston, MN, and Georgia all sound completely different.

Unfortunately I don't know enough about the language to know whether I prefer the North or South accent, but I do know that I generally like Vietnamese culture, accent included. :)

I didn't mean that speaking with a British accent means one is pretentious. I meant that non-Britons who like British accents usually do so because they're perceived as intellectual or erudite - aka, "pretentious".

I love aussie accents
