<p>It would show the same interest as ED in that students get to target one first choice school. </p>

<p>It would prevent the crowding of applications, which results in lower acceptance rate.</p>

<p>It is not binding so no need to "opt-out" like ED and get screwed.</p>

<p>There is really no point in EA anyway.</p>

<p>Yes but they're inclined to go there if accepted, the school being the first choice. And I meant its good for students :)</p>
