<p>When I was at Michigan during the last Ice Age all dorms were gender segregated and women had a curfew. On Saturday night you either came home at midnight or found another place to spend the night -- two bad choices. Sororities were so prevalent that the only upperclass[wo]men in the dorms were rejectees. On Sunday nights the house mother held popcorn parties and lectured on temperance.</p>
<p>Things do change for the better.</p>
