Okay. Last night, a bunch of 2010 Polar Bears figured out how to get our housing info online opposed to waiting a week for our July mailer. It looks as though West is going to be chem free this year. Not Hyde. I (and others) think this because everyone who signed up for chem free was placed in West.

But here’s the catch, Bowdoin has taken our housing info offline (probably because we weren’t supposed to see it yet). How sure is everyone that Hyde was designated as chem free for the 06-07 year? Perhaps the info we got is incorrect. And also, how are West’s rooms set up? Are they 2 room, triples or 3 room quads?

My son will be in west, anyone have some info, iis it only for freshman or are all chem-free requests placed here? Also, give me a broad profile on the chem free types. My son is not a nerd, just not a partyer and wanted the ability to go to sleep early if desired. Thanks

I requested chem free and will be living in West as well. It is only for freshmen and I believe/hope that only chem free requests were placed in West.

From the facebook group, West does not look "nerdy". There are quite a few athletes who do not party for prefromance reasons. Mostly, it seems that it will be a group of normal kids who don't want to drink/be around alcohol.

thanks for the replies, his name is Michael. Are you doing a pre-orientation trip? He will be on the schooner. Enjoy the rest of the summer, it is going much too quickly for us (his parents!)

My parents say the same thing :). I'll be doing the midcoast community service trip (with showers..yesss). I'm sure I will meet Michael very soon..
