Dorm Room Desk

From the pictures on the Case website, it doesn't look like the desks in Smith have drawers. Is this true? Do you recommend bringing some kind of storage bins?

Also, I received information about ordering sheets. It made it sound like no other sheets will fit the beds at Case. Can you just get extra long twin sheets from Target or someplace?

Any other recommendations for what to have in your dorm room?

Thanks.

Hi! All dorms have the same furnature. The only drawers the desks have is a shallow one where the chair is (used to be used for a keyboard). I’d suggest to EVERYONE to bring those rolling under-the-bed plastic bins from Target, and if you have room, a stand-up set of bins (I have one with 3 large drawers, and 1 with 6 more shallow drawers). Don’t order the sheets from one of those catalogues. Target, WalMart, TJ MAXX, and basically every other store has them. I got mine at TJ for like, $10 last year! I’d recommend a mini-fridge (like a 1.7 cuft. square one) for the room- you never think you need it but you will! Other than that… really comfortable bolster pillows for your bed. I got some at TJ MAXX too, because I don’t study/work at my desk, I sit on my bed with my back to the wall. Other than that… I mean, if you go to Target, they’ll give you a pretty good idea of what you need!

Thank you for the information. I will take your advice and go to Target or TJ Maxx. The pillow sounds like a great idea.

No problem! I had no idea about the pillows and bought some with my parents during parents weekend because my back started to hurt! They literally saved my life!
