Does anyone know if the beds can be raised and if so how go about getting it done- did this for older daughter and was able to put drawers under bed. Good use of space. thanks

Yes, they can. With the regular legs on the bed, I think they can be hoisted up about four feet, enough for a low set of drawers. It might also be possible to get leg extenders to make them even higher. When you move in, upperclassmen Orientation Leaders will be liberally sprinkled about the dorms to help you, and they should be able to sort this out with you pretty easily.

Snarf, beginning to think you know everything:)

I have the distinct advantage of having already attended Tufts ;)

You aren’t allowed to use any bed risers but you can make the beds go about 3 feet off the ground and I haven’t heard anyone complain about it. Note that you won’t be able to fit the dresser that comes in you room under it but I brought rolling carts to store under which worked really well.

this last year I put my bed all the way up and managed to fit my fairly large mini-fridge underneath it

Some of the house descriptions tell you how much room is under the bed. For my son’s dorm they say there are 30" under the bed and you aren’t allowed to make it higher.

This is the description: "The beds are multi-positioned beds that have eleven height adjustments up to 32 inches with 30 inches of space underneath when raised to maximum height. "
