Dormitories

What are the dormatories like?

How many people per room? Bathrooms etc..

Please respond. Thanks!

Small. Very small. Three students to a room. My son is in a new dorm and they have their own bathroom. Despite the VERY small living quarters (his room at home is larger than his dorm room) he is really happy there.

It depends on where you are placed if you are a freshman. Some dorms are bigger than others, some rooms may feel smaller because of the triple. Also, depends on how the students arrange their furniture in the room. Here are the links to feature the freshmen dorms.

The upperclassmen dorms are definitely bigger, nicer, and more spacious, such as the Davis Apartment complex, which has their own bed rooms, bath room, living room, and kitchen. The Sandhu Residence Center is newer, hotel style setting, each room with own bath room in both traditional residence hall rooms, as well as residence hall suites.
Overall, the Chapman dorms are excellent and relatively spacious. The upperclassmen dorms are indeed very, very nice. Very pleased.

Freshmen are in triples, but the rooms are quite large (around 14’ x 20’). In our case, all three were able to put their beds on the floor, no need for bunk beds. They have their own bathroom and a big walk-in closet. The building is new and has A/C so the students are very comfortable. Also, the RA’s are great. They assist the kids in every way possible and provide activities like movie night.

Thanks for the replies! I’d be going in as a junior. So I guess I’d be in the larger rooms.
