I'm trying to decide between the usual freshman dorms or the Rainbow Floor at Century. I want the experience of being with all the freshmen, but I also would love to be a Rainbow Scholar and get as involved with the LGBT community at USC as I can.
Does anyone know if I will be missing out on a lot if I live in Century my Freshman year? Are there any freshmen there at all? How much of freshman life will I miss?

I am in exactly the same situation, lol. Rainbow Floor and everything. So I want opinions too! :)

I don’t know of any freshman living at Century, it’s mostly a sophomore/junior apartment. I’d recommend skipping out on it your freshman year - it’s a good choice for your sophomore year, though. Living in a dorm is such a wonderful experience, and there are plenty of ways you can get actively involved within the LGBT community - you don’t need to live on the Rainbow floor your freshman year to do so. I’m not looking forward to leaving the dorms, to be honest; it has been one of the best experiences of my life, and I think you guys should definitely give it a shot!

Century is not available for Freshmen.

It is, actually. Just not so widely advertised. The Housing booklet, as well as the Rainbow Floor website, encourage freshmen to apply.

I wonder if we could find someone who’s been in the Rainbow Floor… anyone?
