Can anyone tell me how the dorms are at Colby? I haven't visited and I won't be able to, but I am most likely going to Colby in the fall and would like to hear what the housing situation is like. There is basically no specific information on the website, so any info would help, either from current Colby students or people who have visited. Thanks!

Hey! I visited colby about a month ago and stayed with a friend in Mary Low (the chem free dorm). I thought it was wicked clean and nice. Very homey. Every door has a huge whiteboard on it so the students can leave messages for each other. Most of the rooms (for freshmen I believe) have two parts to them. A room for the beds, etc. and then a room for desks and studying. It's a great layout. I also saw another room (I don't remember the dorm) and it was HUGE with only two girls staying in it. Very nice. I was wicked impressed with how great everything looked.

I hope this helped! I am most likely going to Colby as well!

My freshman room was a 270 square foot single room triple. I'm not sure if a majority of the rooms are two room doubles. All of the hillside dorms are single room.
