Dorms ....

Hey,
I was wondering if any one has any idea how large the rooms are for Freshmen. Also can anyone explain the Jacobs scholarship beyond the description on the site.
Thanks.

Depends on the dorm hall and whether you have a single, double, or triple.

Click on which housing on the right column you want to view and most of the descriptions have room measurements:

<a href="http://www.campuslife.cornell.edu/campuslife/housing/first-year-residence.cfm%5B/url%5D">http://www.campuslife.cornell.edu/campuslife/housing/first-year-residence.cfm</a></p>

As freshman, we don't get to choose where we live, right?. Just the preferences for single, double, triple, etc. Not the specific dorm building?

@Feemzi2

Yep, we can't choose where we live, except maybe if you choose the townhouses. How exactly do they assign us? Is it based on the questionaire part of the housing app? Like those who put down most lively live in a specific building? Or those who like hiphop like in one building? Or was the questionaire just for roommates and suitemates?

That questionnaire is just for roommates. To add on what you said about townhouses madeinchina, you can also choose a program house if you're interested in those (ecology house, JAM, Ujaama, HILC, Risley, LLC). Oh yeah, and Balch if youre a girl.
