Double Major - Chem & Biology

Ok.......

So I am a high school Junior from a small town is southwest Iowa.
I'm at Private , In-state colleges.

I want a career in Forensics, the lab analysis and that kind of thing.
So the best way to go for that is a degree in Chemistry. Which is my plan because chem is my
passion and what I LOVE to do!!!!! :)

And I am really interested in the DNA analysis side of forensics. And do this I would need a background or degree in Biology which I also love. So it works out for me.

But what I am looking for is feedback at to whether or not a double major in Chemistry and Biology is doable or insane. ;)

I should add that am a straight A student and the top of my glass with a GPA of 3.945.

So either way I know I can do this. So just comment as to whether or not you feel it is a good move at this point.

Thanks!!!

Ellie

Yes, it’s doable.

No, a double major would not be required for that field.

Thank you.

I do know that a double major is not required for that field but i’m exploring my options… lol

and trying to find the best way to get a career in what i want to do and get the best education i can. :)

Yes it’s doable, no it won’t help you get a job or get into your career, and you should probably look at studying biochemistry, chemical biology, or analytical chemistry rather than biology and chemistry.
