As of now, I'm somewhat oddly compelled into this route because I have to stay in Engineering to keep my scholarship. I hardly have any interest in Engineering, since I essentially selected a completely random major when I was struggling to complete my application 2 hours before the deadline. Classical Studies or possibly Philosophy, however, genuinely captures my interest.

Here's my question:
Is this combination of majors practical at all (Law school admissions-wise)? I don't exactly plan on going into Intellectual Property, but would I seem more versatile?
I'm asking because I need to select my classes for Fall Semester soon; if this combination of majors is simply a dumb choice, I might select classes that focus on transferring out of my current school.

A bit of background info:
I'm about to start my Freshmen year in undergrad and I'm trying to plan ahead for once in my life, so I apologize if I sound like an ignoramus... only recently have I begun to consider law school.

I'd really appreciate any opinions I can get, since I'm pretty lost... =/
Thanks in advance!

Major does not matter for law school at all. Engineering and Classical Studies is actually a great combination. Choose classes that interest you. Law school admissions is all GPA and LSAT. So keep a high GPA (which is very difficult for engineering majors) in order to have a chance at a top Law School.

I’d love to take only the classes that interest me, but I’m required to take Engineering classes because under my circumstances, I can’t let go of my scholarship which requires me to stay in Engineering. I’m still struggling with the thought of transferring though :x

I initially thought that Engineering and Classical Studies was a nice combination too, but I did a bit of searching and most people seem to think pursuing a humanities major with Engineering is pointless. I don’t think those people were speaking from a perspective of law school admissions though, so thank you for your input; I really appreciate it. :)

A liberal arts major is a waste of time if you are doing engineering.

Yeah problem is that I’m actually interested in those Liberal Artsy majors, but I have to stay in Engineering…
