Well, is it? :b

If you are able to do them together at the same time I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible. At my school you can not come in as a freshmen and double major. You have to have 43 or more credit hours completed before you can double major or do a double concentration. I am doing a double concentration starting fall quarter and it would mess with me graduating next June, pending not failing any classes.

Yes.

I don’t know if I want to explain everything but I’m double majoring in Russian and Arabic and doing a 19 credit certificate program in three years.

Theoretically, yes. You will probably need to overload for many semesters and take some summer courses. It’s also easier if you got prereqs out of the way with AP credit.

depends on which majors and how much college credit you have coming into school

Yeah, i’m sure it is possible, but it really depends on the majors you want to do.

I have a friend who double majored in women’s studies and anthropology and graduated in three years something Cum Laude. She worked two jobs at the same time and did track, too. Her motto was “sleep is a luxury”. It’s possible but I don’t know if it’s advisable.

…but why would you want to?

You know, I know a guy coming in trying to have 6 major while finish in 3 year, after a while, he decided to reduce to 3 major and extend to 1 more year. The course load is really heavy. If you feel up to it and have a plan to do so, why not? But just knowing what you are getting yourself into? More class with shorter time. You will have to work harder than most of your classmate who have only 1 major and have 4 years to complete it.

My friend did a double major in french and history, plus a certificate in german in three years. He came into college with AP credits (about five classes worth), he took six classes each semester, and he took one or two classes each summer at his university. He also worked two jobs. (He’s a workaholic though).
