I am a junior at a small private college majoring in Accounting. My goal like most is to gain my CPA. I need 150 hours as everyone knows. I have a 3.2 gpa which from what ive seen is on the low side for the large accounting recruiters. My college is also not AACSB accredited. I can double major with Business Management at my school in a fifth year and have enough credits to sit. Or I can go to a much larger AACSB accredited university and get a Masters in Accounting. The masters will also take only one year to complete and be much cheaper than another year at my private college. Which would be a better route to take?

The Masters route is better if it is a bigger school that is still accredited. You will have more firms that recruit that Macc program for accounting-related position than your current job. Adding a Masters to your resume won’t hurt and it will save you money. This is an easy decision, IMO.
