Double Major?

Is it possible/difficult to double major in communicative disorders and elementary education and still graduate in 4 years?

It would depend on how many credit hours the student comes into UA with from AP, CLEP, or Dual Enrollment.
it would help to have an agreement in place between the two departments to make the dual major flowchart as smooth as possible. My DS is looking into dual major with ChemE and Chemistry which is a flowchart that has already been established between the two departments.

Education won’t allow that, but you could go through Human Environmental Science. What is your goal? SLP? If so, there is no point in doing Education anyway.

Also, some upper level CD classes are only offered once per year. Many CD majors minor in Human Development or Psychology. Foreign language is an excellent choice for a double major or to satisfy the required minor. Keep in mind that five semesters of grad school are required to work as an SLP.

It is definitely possible to earn a double major in CD and something else in three or four years if a student enters with a large amount of credits and is willing to work hard though.
