Double Major

Is it material possible to take a double major? Physics and CS? Is there time to do whatever you want or you have to study and study..?

It depends a lot on the school: some are more rigorous than others, and some do not even allow double majoring. However, at any quality school, I would expect that completing a physics and computer science double major would be very difficult, though certainly manageable if you are talented and dedicated.

As a CS/Physics double major myself, I promise you that if you have an interest in the two subjects it is not only as much fun as you thought it would be, but also more rewarding than you could have imagined. I thought I liked physics before college, and now that I’ve taken the full spread, I love it even more.

I didn’t have any AP credit (foreign high school) and only stayed one extra (Summer) semester, which I needn’t have actually done to graduate in the regular 4 years (8 semesters). As it is, I am graduating on time, with as many honors as the university grants, and have had enough time to have fun and work several jobs along the way.

There are a lot of great reasons for not double majoring, and only a few good ones, but if you like both fields, you have the best reason to go for it.

ok, thanks !
