Double majoring in AeroE & physics

If you double major in, say, aerospace engineering and astronomy, and you then apply to an aerospace engineering graduate program, are they going to care about the astronomy degree, or will they care more about what you did in and out of the classroom that specifically relates to aerospace engineering?

I ask because if I were to double major in aerospace engineering and astronomy, I would not have the same amount of time to pursue research opportunities, clubs, etc that specifically relate to aerospace engineering.

Also, a double major would take five years, which I'm not sure is worth it if my goal is to go to graduate school.

It’s not worth doubling. Just take one major and do your best to make the most of it.

What if I did an astronomy minor? Do graduate schools even care about minors?

Unless the minor directly relates to your future research then no department will care. They value your grades in relevant classes and research experience and recommendations, not much else.

So I should consider minors such as computer science?

Dona minor you are interested in or math or none.

Get involved in undergraduate research.
