I’m confused about majors at Harvard…Double majors aren’t allowed, but you can do a joint concentration? What exactly is the difference?

they're the same thing. joint concentration requires a thesis that joins your two concentrations together, which is difficult to do, but not impossible if you're doing something like biology and psychology (like me).

it might be hard if you're doing classical studies and biology.

But there are "primary fields" and "secondary fields" in the joint concentrations, right? (Maybe I'm just confused?) If so...this means that you sort of concentrate even more in one major? Or would a primary field be something like a major and a secondary field would be a minor?
