Hi everyone, i will attend to ISU next year and study Mechanical Engineering. However, i also love Computer Science. Is it possible for me to study double majors? I heard the first year is very tough.
@Rocinante123 - My son is a freshman engineering student at ISU. He said that there’s not a lot of overlap between the majors so you would likely be looking at 5-6 years to complete the double major. I have another son who is majoring in biomedical engineering with a mechanical engineering minor at Miami of Ohio. He started with about 50 credits thanks to APs. He is on schedule to graduate in 4 years, but he has been taking 17-19 credits a semester.
You might think about minoring in one and then picking up a Master’s degree. That might not take any longer than two bachelor’s.
