Double or Single Spaced?

<p>Simple question regarding the Common App. Essay, Supplemental Essays, and brief/short responses like "Why This College":</p>

<p>-Double or Single Spaced?</p>

<p>Does it even really matter?</p>

<p>Stupid question, yes, but I want to be thorough.</p>

<p>Some specifically say to single space, others just do not specify....</p>

<p>I would go single space, and I'll tell you why: If you have a 500 word essay, it fits on a page... I think this is what most college officials want (the one-page essay thing)....</p>

<p>If you double space, it will go on two pages, which defeats the whole "one page" thing.....</p>

<p>Again, just a random thought.....</p>
