Downloading Microsoft Windows Education Free?

I went to the myneu site and thought I’d order the Microsoft Windows Education for the new labtop I was going to purchase because it was free. My labtop already came in and I have Windows 10 and I’m on the 90 day trial for Microsoft Office already. It’s telling me the product key for MWE is going to expire tomorrow and I was wondering whether I should put it in. Does MWE have Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, etc? Also, since it’s free I was wondering if it was just another trial, and if so for how long? Should I just wait until I get to Northeastern? I heard you can get Microsoft Office free or at a discounted price at the bookstore.

I’m pretty sure MWE is the full Microsoft Office; I do know that Northeastern offers it for free to all students as long as you are enrolled. I don’t think there’s any harm in putting in the MWE key - what’s the worst that could happen? It doesn’t work or expires on you? You’re no worse off than you are now! I’d also suggest searching the NU IT website for how it says you’re supposed to get access to Office.

Northeastern gives office365 (PowerPoint, word, publisher, etc) for free to all students through myneu self service (after the school year starts if you’re entering 2016)

Okay, thanks for the help I’ll put in the product key and see what happens for now until I get office365

Microsoft Office is free through the myneu portal, along with antivirus and a bunch of other software. There is also tons of discounted software, but it is not ALWAYS the cheapest. There are two places to look in the portal. One is “software downloads” which is free software, and the other is “free and discounted software” which is exactly what it says it is. Don’t buy anything until you check both those links first.
